Abigail Jensen (she/her) is a writer and director, originally from Missouri and now based near New York City. In 2023, she earned her MLitt in Playwriting and Dramaturgy from the University of Glasgow and made her Edinburgh Fringe debut with Sex Diaries of an Ex-Catholic. Abby also holds a dual BA in Theatre and English from Missouri State University, where she worked as an Assistant Poetry Editor for Moon City Review. She now serves as a Contributing Editor for River Styx Magazine.
While most of Abby's writing has been for the stage, her poetry and essays have been published in LOGOS, Red Coyote, and The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Abby always brings an wacky sense humor to her work, which often explores feminist issues, religion, and family. In her schooling, she has extensively studied Shakespeare, Epic Theatre, Theatre of the Absurd, and poetic form.
In her spare time, she collects vinyl records and hopes to hunt down an original release of every album by The Beatles. Her comfort movie is Moonstruck, and she is a Jane Austen lover!
